Spelunky: The perfect game?
Some games take a little bit more time for me to get into. I play a little bit of a game, do not get into it, and then I drop it for something else. It has happened numerous times; I don’t like them and ditch them. Fortunately I can now get Steam refunds on things that don’t quite work out, but some games I know are good but I do not quite “get” the first time around. Spelunky is one such game.
Spelunky is a game where you delve deeper and deeper into a randomly generated dungeon full of monsters and surprises. It is a game that has attracted a healthy community of people; firstly for its quality, secondly because the game has an extremely high skill ceiling. It allows for incredible speed runs of the game and daily challenges on the PC version which still attract tens of thousands of people each day.
