Dying Light: Zombies done right
People love zombies. Whether it is in books, on television, in films or, especially, in games – we cannot get enough of the shuffling dead. We have explored them in every way possible; we have shot them, engaged with them, got emotional stories in The Walking Dead and a whole lot of killing in stuff like the Left for Dead series. Just when I thought I could not handle any more zombies, though, a new contender entered the fray.
Dying Light is that game – that new contender for the zombie crown. This is a game with a few twists up its sleeve though. It is fast paced, it is violent, but it also has a lot of nuance to it. There are very personal stories in here, very human stories that punctuate the action. Dying Light represents a great evolution for the genre and for zombie games in general.
