Killzone: Shadowfall – Still going
Launch titles are often visual showcases for new consoles; flashy games with very little to shout about in terms of gameplay systems and revolutions. This launch of consoles was no different; as both the Playstation 4 and Xbox One launched with a number of very forgettable titles. One of those games, specifically for the Playstation 4, was Killzone: Shadowfall, the latest game in the constantly underwhelming Killzone series. The single player campaign was disappointing; great graphics couldn’t hide the fact that very little was going on. The multiplayer, though, was good.
So good, in fact, that the game still attracts a decent number of people playing to this day. I would imagine that all the money would have been made back from initial sales by now, and Sony’s next move has to be to release Killzone’s multiplayer for free onto Playstation + and then charge for cosmetics. Since that’s such an obvious choice, though, it won’t happen.
