Will the Next Gen Consoles be the last to use Discs
Mobile phones have shown today just how easy it is to download games, and have them ready to play in no time, while you can download games on next gen consoles, but the bulk of sales come through gamers buying the discs.
Some people see these consoles being the last to use discs, especially considering they’ll be around for the next decade or more, and perhaps we are moving deeper into the digital stage where downloads are the future.
Some gamers will dislike the fact that they won’t have the disks, manuals and cover art to store, while others may see downloading as a great way to save space, especially if you’re a huge gamer. We feel that the next gen consoles could possibly be the last to use disks, but it will be interesting to see what people’s reactions are in the future.
