Rainbow Six: Time to return
Tom Clancy is a household name these days. Both within videogame culture and in literary circles. His extensive canon is heavily focused on war time and fighting, so it was only natural that videogames would take notice of his work. Despite having a lot of games to his name they tend to fall into three main gaming series; Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon and Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six. While the first two series are great in their own respects, the Rainbow Six series holds sway with a lot of gamers. So much so that the series is finally making a comeback.
Rainbow Six: Siege is coming in 2015 and people are excited. The development videos to accompany the games so far have been very clear about what their goals are; to take Rainbow Six back to its most basic parts, Police vs Criminals. The levels on show so far are very intimate and extremely visceral.
