There are many platforms which you can use which allow you to earn money from gaming. Some of these being YouTube and Twitch. Streaming and videos are the main way which gamers earn money, however, you can be sponsored to promote a game.
This does take up a lot of time. You will need to be dedicated to create and edit videos, or to stream often. Your following needs to grow to allow you to earn money. To earn money from this you will need to be patient, it does not happen overnight.
There is the possibility to earn a small amount when you are first starting up. However, this will not be enough to live off of. So just bear this in mind when considering going into this career.
